I just received a call from JoanE at J.R. Organics in Escondido. Thankfully, the fires have not affected their farm, although she says the smoke has picked up this morning. My best wishes to all our local growers, many of whom are situated in north county near the Rice and Witch Fires.

thanks for the update, M. it will be interesting to see how the other CSA's are impacted. this is truly awful situation :(
