Kimber's sells grass-fed beef ...

I had no idea that Kimber's sold grass-fed beef! I bought my Thanksgiving turkey from them last year. Very cool!

does Kimber's sell their grass-fed beef in individual portions or by the half- and quarter-steer? I'm still thinking about turning our tiny extra bedroom into a pantry equipped with a large freezer!

I've been getting ground beef (frozen, but still) from Kimber's; I believe that's all they have right now and that is in limited quantities ... I never had grass-fed beef prior to what I got from them ... Wow, what a difference. Lean and delicious ... I've also got my Xmas Goose on order with them ...

Fantastic Thank you!

I should clarify my remark re: grass-fed beef at Kimber's. They provided me with beef from their personal supply and I made a donation to the farm in return. I misspoke when I said that they sold beef from their farm. Apologies for the confusion.

I picked up my first (freshly butchered) pasture-fed chickens direct from the farmer today. We've also ordered 1/2 pork, 1/4 beef, and our Thanksgiving turkey.

What fun to see his kids swimming in their new natural pool and to see the dogs he talks about on his blog!

You're going to make all of us southern Californians jealous. Oh, wait, that's right, we live in paradise otherwise, so I guess you can enjoy your pastured chickens and beef in the sweltering heat and bitter cold! Lol.

Does anyone know if these are "grass-finished" versus 'grass-fed"?

Also, Melanie, if Kimber's qualifies for this list would you be able to post contact info?

Thanks!

Kate - The RJ Livestock are both grass-fed and grass-finished.

Kimber's does not sell their grass-fed beef. The commenter who mentioned it received it as a "trade" between "friends," so I haven't posted their contact information here.

Hi I'm Megan McDowell from NTM Livestock In Wildomar Ca. We raise Certified Naturally Grown Beef and lamb. We are no longer affiliated with Da-Le Ranch in any way as their products are Not Certified in any way. Please see the Menuinprogress.com blog to see why we cannot be connected to anyone whose feeding practices,in our opinion, go against all things natural. I'm not eating anthing fed dog food. Nor will I offer it to people as a naturally raised product. thank you for letting me ddress this issue. Megan

I have been buying from MM Livestock in Wildomar, Ca. Their beef is certified grass fed and USDA Choice. Their prices are great too.
